Crestwicke is passionate about biblical teaching, discipleship, and meaningful engagement at every stage of a child's development. We desire to invest our time, effort, and care in building up the next generation of Christ followers through the ministries listed here.

NURSERY

Children from 0 to 4 year olds are welcome to join our Children's Church. Our Ember room (0 to 2 years) and our Spark room (3 to 4 years) will be journeying through the Truth78 curriculum A Sure Foundation. This curriculum is designed to transform our nursery rooms into a place for prayer, where children learn simple truths about God, begin to memorize Scripture, worship God through music, and hear foundational Bible stories.

Our nursery rooms run all year long and take a break at Christmas and the Good Friday service.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

During our Sunday morning services, children from Senior Kindergarten up to Grade 5 are welcome to join our Children’s Church which is divided into two classes, Ignite (SK to Gr. 2), and Ablaze (Gr. 3 to Gr. 5).

Children’s Church classes run September to June, and take a break through the summer months.

Ignite (SK to Gr. 2)

Children ages 5 to 8 learn about some of God's promises, discovering what it means to trust in those promises which are God's gift to us. Faithful to All His Promises begins by teaching children what a promise is, what makes God trustworthy with these promises, and who these promises are for, then children get to explore some specific promises from God to see how He has been and will be faithful to each of those promises. Teaching involves various components such as prayer, games, crafts, and scripture memorization.

Ablaze (Gr. 3 to Gr. 5)

Children ages 9 to 11, will journey through the Bible chronologically, looking for clues that point to Jesus and His death on the cross. The Bible is one complete true story that progressively reveals God's redemptive plan, which comes to complete fulfillment in the Person and work of Jesus Christ. In the Beginning...Jesus begins with a historical mystery—Jesus' death on the cross—and asks the questions: "What really happened here?" "Why did Jesus die?" and "Who did it?".

To find the answers to these questions, the study goes to the beginning of the Bible narrative in Genesis and then moves chronologically through the Old Testament text as students search for clues that foreshadow the coming of Jesus and His redemptive work on the cross. Special emphasis is given to showing that the Bible is God's story from beginning to end and that Jesus is the key to understanding the story. Teaching involves various components such as prayer, activities and reading the Bible.

New City Catechism Class (Kids ages 11+)

Our Lead Pastor, RJ, leads this catechism class for kids, working through the New City Catechism. Kids who are 11+ can join the group in the library, 9:20 to 10am, before our Sunday morning service, from September to June.
