For the last 11 years, a group of 8-10 from Crestwicke have been faithfully growing vegetables in 1000 sq ft garden plot in partnership with Priory Park Church's community gardens.
Each year they harvest between 700-1000 lb of produce, which is donated to various local organizations and individuals, including Michael House, Beginnings, West Village Food Hub, Christopher Court food pantry, Stepping Stone, and Royal City Meal Program.
If you are interested in getting a regular dosage of sunshine, and willing to help with watering, weeding, pest-control, and harvesting, please contact the Crestwicke office (church@crestwicke.org or 519-836-2132) and we will connect you with the coordinators.
Weekly volunteering occurs Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm, and Saturday mornings at 9 am, from now until early October.
